Students are responsible for learning about fulfilling degree requirements, but an advisor can provide assistance. Academic advisors can assist students with the understanding of academic requirements, changes in requirements, choose electives, and plan a balanced program.
An advisor can help students become acquainted with campus resources and find answers to questions. Students are urged to talk with their advisor each semester about program planning. Students, according to their classification and level (year) at the School of Nursing, are assigned to an advisor. Students can verify who their advisor is through the Student Center in the MY UW portal.
