General Enrollment Information for Graduate Students
Summer and Fall Semester 2013
The following is designed to provide information to students regarding enrollment for the upcoming semesters. Students are encouraged to see their advisors as soon as possible to plan their program of study and also to enroll early paying particular attention to enrolling for the correct sections and the number of credits when courses are offered for variable credits. The Graduate School has become very selective in approving late enrollment and course change requests.
Enrollment Dates
Graduate students can begin to enroll for Summer 2013 courses beginning Monday, April 1, 2013 for Fall 2013 courses beginning Monday, April 8, 2013. Additional enrollment information is available on the Office of the Registrar’s web site (http://registrar.wisc.edu/enrollment_information.htm). Please note: changes in classes, times and room assignments can occur without advanced notice, so be sure to recheck your student center prior to the first day of class for the most up-to-date information.
Web Enrollment
Students start the enrollment process by logging into the MY UW Portal (http://my.wisc.edu) using their NetID and password. Once students have accessed the portal, they click open the Student Center to complete their enrollment activities, selecting the correct semester. The “wish list” function can help students prepare ahead of the registration time.
Prior to enrolling for classes, it is recommended that students check their enrollment “holds” located in the Student Center module of their MY UW Portal. Some holds may block students from enrolling; review the information provided.
Course Offerings
