  • Waisman Early Childhood Program - will be enrolling a 2-year-old who was infected with the cytomegalovirus in utero.  He has significant disabilities requiring one-on-one support, and we would like to include him in our program.  He would be joining a group of 12 children, another of whom has special needs, with a staff of 3 teachers.  I am looking for a student to hire who could join that team as a classroom assistant.  This person would not be solely responsible for this child at all, but would assist in the rotation of support that the regular staff would provide.  The hours are M-F 8:30-12:30; we would prefer one student, but realistically that may not be possible.  The hourly pay would be between $10.00-$12.00, depending on experience. Another day and a half with a busy, chatty almost 2 year old girl and her mellow 3 month old brother (most likely Friday and Monday morning, unless nanny prefers to have a full day off and wants to watch all 4 kids on Wednesday mornings. Let's discuss.) Hours would be 7:45am-5:45pm (Mondays 7:45-2 pm and sometimes off). Hours may vary slightly with notice ahead of time. Light housework involved including feeding and cleaning up after the children as well as the children’s laundry. We are hoping for a long term nanny, and will negotiate a weekly salary based on a pay range of $11-14/hour, with some paid vacation and other benefits.
